OnlyWhois policy
Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-08-28
These terms apply when you access or use OnlyWhois. By using the service, you agree to use it lawfully, responsibly and in accordance with the rules of the registration-data providers that supply the results.
Service scope
OnlyWhois retrieves public domain registration data from RDAP services and uses WHOIS as a fallback when appropriate. Results come from external registries and registrars. A result is informational and is not a guarantee of ownership, availability, accuracy or a future registration outcome.
Acceptable use
You may use OnlyWhois for reasonable, lawful registration-data lookups. You must not:
- Run automated, scripted, bulk or high-volume queries without prior written permission.
- Bypass rate limits, access controls, technical safeguards or provider restrictions.
- Harvest contact details, build marketing lists, send spam or facilitate harassment.
- Use returned data for unlawful surveillance, discrimination, fraud or other harmful activity.
- Resell, republish or combine data in a way that violates a registry or registrar policy.
- Interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access or test security outside responsible disclosure.
- Misrepresent OnlyWhois results as an official ownership certificate or availability guarantee.
Provider terms and data quality
RDAP and WHOIS providers may limit queries, redact fields, return delayed data or change their services. Their terms and acceptable-use rules also apply to the data they provide. OnlyWhois may refuse or limit requests to protect the service and respect those restrictions.
Service availability
OnlyWhois may be unavailable or return partial results when an external provider is unavailable, rate-limits a request or does not publish the requested data. Verify important information directly with the responsible registrar or registry before relying on it.
Privacy and reports
The Privacy Policy explains the lookup data flow and technical request processing. To report abuse, a security concern or another issue, email [email protected] or visit the contact page.
